Just a little about me and my journey:
I am a London based photographer and illustrator, looking to uplift the alternative music scene through my art. My whole life I have been devoted to music and spend any moment I can immersing myself in it. I've built a community within the music scene over the years by going to gigs, enjoying the vibes and connecting with people.  But as an illustrator, I have always taken an interest in seeing how I can bring a new spin and outlook to the creative world.
Photography is where I am currently cultivating this the most- immortalising those split second moments within the snap of my shutter.
I first explored the idea of music photography in January 2024, when I jokingly offered to photograph my friend's band with no experience and no camera. To my surprise he said yes and, although shocked, I instantly started researching what I would need. With no prior knowledge I was a little lost, but I came across a very generous person at my university who offered to help me out and lent me their camera. I was absolutely bricking it for my first show, having no idea of the wonderfully life altering experience that was about to hit me. I have always been creative, but never really knew what to do with it; I love so many things and have had many passing hobbies but nothing managed to stick. I tried variations throughout my education, I have gained qualifications in Art & Design, English Literature, I have done competitive dance, learnt to play guitar and drums, as well as tried to teach myself how to false chord scream (horrifically) in my bedroom. I have loved all of these things but haven't been able to push through them in the long term. I honestly just assumed only a lucky few people found something that fed the soul in a way which could last them a whole career and create a fulfilled life. That was until the night of the 31st January 2024 at the Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester, Essex. In a fairly empty Wednesday night room, with my buddy's band, I had never felt more exhilarated doing something in my life- followed by the wonderful present of getting to see the results of my work at the end of the night. It all started then and it hasn't stopped since. I never knew how much picking up a camera could change my life.

As of now, I am exploring videography at shows and ways of integrating my illustration practice into my photography in my final year of my BA in Illustration, as well as working as a contributor for a few publications, in both the roles of a photographer and writer.  I am constantly finding new ways to expand my skillset and challenge my approach to capturing shows.

I look forward to seeing where this beautiful job takes me and hope to see you join me along for the ride.
